# Placement Content Analysis

> For every article that will carry a link (insertion target or guest post draft). Content that reads as built for links gets removed by publishers and ignored by AI engines.

## Before placing into an existing article (insertions)
- [ ] The article already ranks or receives readers for a shortlist-type search (best tools, comparison, alternatives)
- [ ] The paragraph around the new link is about the client's category
- [ ] The client's product genuinely belongs on this page (a reader clicking through finds a match, not a mismatch)
- [ ] The page is not paid-inclusion by design (every entry listed because it paid)
- [ ] The addition reads as a natural extension of the list, not an inserted ad
- [ ] Sentence count of the addition fits the surrounding rhythm (1–3 sentences usually)

## For new articles (guest posts)
- [ ] The article stands on its own — worth publishing even without the link
- [ ] Angle is specific: a method, a data point, a worked example — not "10 tips"
- [ ] Drafted by the AI tool, edited by a person for the publisher's tone and the product's truth
- [ ] Unique on this placement (not syndicated, not a template reshuffle)
- [ ] Facts, numbers and product claims verified — nothing the client's team wouldn't sign
- [ ] Link sits inside an argument, where a reader would want it

## Both
- [ ] Title, H1 and first paragraph consistent (no clickbait drift)
- [ ] Answerable content: a reader (or a model) can extract the core answer from the first paragraphs
- [ ] Headings present and logical (H2/H3), lists and tables only where natural
- [ ] Sources cited where claims are made
- [ ] No hidden text, no doorway structure, no bulk "best of" shells
