Link building strategy for SaaS and AI products

A link building strategy is a written plan that says which of your pages need links, from which kinds of sites, with which anchors, in what order. It's agreed with you before anyone buys or pitches anything.

We start with your pages, not our inventory. Every other service on this site starts from the plan.

  • DR 40+

Ahrefs filter, never the verdict. Every site is still qualified by hand.

  • 2,000+

monthly organic visits, checked against the site itself

  • 12 mo

monitoring. A removed link is replaced free.

  • 1,200+

    active publisher relationships in technology

/ fit

When does a link building strategy make sense?

It makes sense when you can't yet say which page each link is for.

A good fit

  • You're starting link building, or restarting after a vendor whose reports you can't map to pages.
  • Competitors outrank you on comparison searches and you don't know which links put them there.
  • The budget is small enough that each placement has to count.

A poor fit

  • You already have a plan, a target list and anchors. Send them. We'll review them on the call.
  • Your site has indexing or migration problems. Fix those first, or the links point at pages Google can't use.
  • You want to buy a fixed number of links. That's a purchase order, not a plan.
/ mechanism

Why does the plan come first?

Links point at URLs, not at “the site”. So the first question is always which URL, and the plan answers it before any money moves.

  • Which pages sell.

The pages a buyer lands on before they convert: pricing, integrations, alternatives, feature pages.

  • Which pages rank.

The ones close enough to move, and the ones that aren't indexable at all.

  • Where competitors hold links you don't.

The gap in referring pages between you and the companies you compete with. That gap sets the prospect list.

Then we match each page to a placement type.

PlacementBest forYou controlLimit
Link insertion →A specific page that needs a linkPage, anchorNeeds a suitable page to exist
Guest post →A topic you want to be known forAngle, page, anchorOnly as good as the article
International link →A new marketMarket, page, languageNeeds the localised page first

Anchors get planned too. A mix of brand, URL and descriptive anchors reads as links people chose. The same exact-match keyword repeated across placements reads as links built for ranking.

/ process

How we build the plan

  1. 01

    Page audit

Which pages sell, which rank, and whether each one can be indexed and used.

  2. 02

    Competitor gap

Who links to the companies you compete with, and where you're absent.

  3. 03

    Placement mix

A placement type for each target page, with the reason.

  4. 04

    Anchor plan

The anchor approach for each page, agreed with you.

  5. 05

    Priority and budget

The order, and what each step costs at the standard $295 per placement where that applies.

  6. 06

    Review

We walk you through it. Nothing is bought until you've approved it.

Link building strategy FAQ

Do we need a strategy if we already buy links?

It's worth checking. If you can't say which page each link was bought for, you don't have one. Send us your last vendor report and we'll map it.

Will you tell us not to build links?

Yes, when the page isn't ready: thin, not indexable, or mid-migration. We say so on the call, whether or not you hire us.

Can we use the plan with another vendor?

Talk to Andreea about how the plan is delivered.

What do you need from us?

Your top three commercial pages and read access to your analytics.

Does the plan include content strategy?

No. It covers links: which pages, which placement types and which anchors. Content the placements need is written by us and included in the price.

Which pages need to win?

Thirty minutes with Andreea. Bring your top three commercial pages, and she'll tell you what's standing between them and page one, whether or not you hire us.
